Overview
The Sennheiser Game One provides brilliant sound quality with durability and a lightweight and comfortable fit ticking the boxes of the most important aspects of any gaming headset.
At around £190 this headset comes with a premium price tag and we have a look at it in more detail below to see if this is justified and if this one is for you.

In-depth
The Sennheiser Game One feature a subtle design which you might expect from a more grown up audio company like Sennheiser and isn't garish with wacky design like a lot of gaming headsets often are.
THe earcup pads are nicely soft and covered in velour which means people who wear glasses with love these as much as those who don't. The biggest point about the cups are the open back design which we will cover a little later on. Other than this they are well designed, sturdy and feel great.
The connection from the headset comes in the form of a double 3.5mm jack, one for the sound and one for the mic, great if you have these connections but if you are using on a console like the Switch or only have one jack you will need an adapter to run this.

As to be expected from a company which excels at making great headphones the sound from the Sennheiser Game One is amazing, nice natural and very clear sounds definitely one of the top in this class of headsets.
This also means music sounds great since we do not have any of the low bass boosted frequencies creating problems and masking other parts of the sound, this gives the listening experience of the music the way it was intended to be heard. This level of clarity is great for both games and music being able to hear all the instruments or clearly defined actions in games.
So back to the open back design, this kind of design for headphones means sound leaks out and there is a lack of isolation. This gives these headphones a great for use at home status, but you would not be taking them to a LAN or gaming cafe.
The microphone sounds good but it might be a little on the quiet side for you, this means you may need to boost the volume of the mic input in the audio software.
So the Sennheiser Game One checks all the right boxes, its built well, it has fantastic sound and its comfortable. If you want a headset to use at home and the sound quality matters then this is a great choice.
